The DesertX project was born in 2019, when Ducati unveiled a concept model, generating a tremendous amount of positive feedback from motorcyclists worldwide.

The DesertX is a contemporary interpretation of the 1980s Enduro motorcycle line, created by Ducati Centro Stile. The new visual design consists of three key elements: the tank with side covers, the seat, and the windshield with its distinctive double headlight.

The use of black and white surfaces is also an interesting stylistic touch.

At the heart of the new DesertX is the liquid-cooled, 937cc Testastretta 11° desmodromic engine.

This reliable, Euro 5-compliant unit delivers 110 hp at 9,250 rpm and maximum torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine features all the improvements already featured on the Monster and Multistrada V2 models, including a lightweight and compact 8-disc clutch.

The twin-cylinder engine's weight is reduced by a staggering 1.7 kg compared to its predecessor.

The chassis layout of the new Ducati DesertX features a new steel trellis frame and long-travel suspension with dedicated settings to ensure efficient operation even in the most demanding conditions.

Optimization of all components has resulted in a high-performance motorcycle with a dry weight of 202 kg.

The DesertX is intuitive and delivers precise handling on all surfaces thanks to its impressive bump absorption.

Each riding mode (Enduro, Rally, Sport, Touring, Urban, and Wet) can be freely configured to allow individual electronic systems based on the Bosch IMU inertial platform to intervene at different levels: Engine Brake Control (EBC), Ducati Traction Control (DTC), Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up & Down, and Cornering ABS.

In the riding modes dedicated to off-road riding (Enduro and Rally), the ABS can also be completely deactivated using a dedicated button.
